Hi! I have an Ashdown MAG600r and a Hartke 3500 MOSFET.
The Hartke has been broke for a couple years. Anyways, I got it fixed and it completely blows the Ashdown away volume wise. The Hartke is louder at 2 than the Ashdown is at 10. The Hartke is rated at 350 watts at 4 0hms. The Ashdown is rated at 575 watts at 4 ohms. I bought the Ashdown new when my Hartke died and it has never had the volume I thought it should. Is this normal for the Ashdown or do you suspect something isn't right with the amp? I like the tone I get from it, just not nearly enough power. I read reviews about the Ashdown MAG300 and MAG600 and didn't find this sort of problem. Any ideas?

I can't really help you with this comparison, but I can say this. I recently picked up a Hartke 3500 just to use as a backup. This thing is really loud for 350 watts.
But if it's louder at 2 than your 575 watt amp is at 10, something's wrong.
