Hey, I have a question: Should I get a Hartke 3500, an SWR Workingman's 4004, or an Ampeg B-2 head (not B2R)? I am concerned above all with the quality of the head. Volumes are all close enough, and versatility is not a must. I just got an Ampeg B25B all tube head, but the darned thing just isn't loud enough!!! Thanks!

I've used the Hartke with a couple of different 8-ohm cabs, and I'd have to say that it can compete with the loudest drummer with plenty of headroom. It's a solid, low-hum head, that I personally like the tone and versatility of. I haven't tried the others, but I like the Hartke.
