Hartke A100 combo

  1. I just purchased a Hartke A100 combo with the 15" aluminum driver. yeasterday after band practice I turned off the amp and reached back to unplug the power cord to pack up and found the amp section to be quite warm to the touch. Volume was at about 6.5. We do play pretty loud. Is this normal? Maybe I need a fan pointed at the rear of the amp section? .... thanks for any info...btw this combo kicks!

If it was warm, but not so hot as to cause a burn, it's probably normal. A fan could never hurt...
  3. Well, no burn just hot to the touch and since my work the past few years has been using "Sonar' for computer based recording and just recentely been reunited with the old band maybe I just forgot or never noticed the heat disipated by these amps. Thanks for the reply.....Dale
