Hartke H7000 and 8 ohm cabs

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by DeepDeath, Jul 16, 2002.

  1. If I had 2 8 ohm cabs how would i use it to get a 4 ohm load and be able to use the cross over? cause a friend told me if i run it through seperate channels or what not it will be going to 8 ohms each instead of 4.

That's true, and that's the only way to do it. I doubt there would really be a major increase in perceived volume if you could do that, anyway.
  3. If you hook one cab up to each channel you will have 240 watts running into each cab at 8 0hms and you will be able to use the crossover. Or you could run both of them off of one channel but it would only give 350 watts or 175 watts into each cab. You will not be able to use the crossover in that matter either. Best bet is to use the first option.
