Hartke HA2000

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by negative57, Mar 24, 2002.

  1. I just bought my new head, the Hartke HA2000, it is has a hybrid pre-amp. I know it only has one tube. Does anyone know what kind of tube this is. I would like to have a spare for it.

  2. Ahhhh. I know someone wants to help me out.

its a 12AX7. i wouldnt worry too much about replacing it, ive had my HA2000 for the past 5 years or so, and it still has the original preamp tube in it. that head has had the crap beat out of it too, and everything still works.

Interesting... it doesn't say that in the HA2000/3500 manual. But I know the Carvin Redline amps have a tube emulator with a 12AX7 which says it eliminates the purpose of replacing tubes... maybe 12AX7s don't need to be replaced?

  5. I dont know, I am scared this is my first tube amp. My first instinctt is to get another tube, just to be on the same side. Does anyone know around how much the cost.
