    Hi
    anyone had experience with them?

if i ran an ampeg preamp into it would i be able to dial up an ampeg vintage tube tone?

could the above system handle a six string bass detuned?

  2. Couldn't you get more power at a better price by just purchasing a good power amp?

The Hartke 3500 -7500 models have built in tube and SS pre-amps. The tube does give some warmth, but this is a modern HI-FI sounding amp. You could disable the built-in preamp and use another, but it would not make much sense. For true vintage tone, best to go with tube all the way.
