I just bought a used Hartke HyDrive 112, i like the way it sounds in the midrange and upper bass, it's clear and pleasant. There are two things i have noticed, i think the SPL is a bit low, the specs are 96db/1w, but I thought the speaker would be a bit louder. The other is that I was hoping for a little deeper bass. Does geeting more 112 improves a lot. Would it be better to get a HyDrive 4x10"?
  2. Adding another 112 will increase both volume and low end a lot. The 410 is a great sealed cab but doesn't have massive low end on its own. I believe the 112 is a ported cab and a pair will give you more low end extension. Two 112 cabs will also give you flexibility for smaller gigs.
