Has anyone converted ordinary Fenders into Artist series?

I was just wondering, would it be possible to just make a Fender artist series bass with an ordinary Fender bass? Like say the Roscoe Beck signature bass; couldn't you just buy 2 nice humbuckers, a Gotoh bridge, and rewire and create a similiar tone control system?

  2. I have the Noel Redding Jazz that was a MIM standard.

Except I have different knobs that came off some random amp, its looks great.

Sure, You could do just about anything, except after all is said & done, it won't be a Roscoe Beck signature bass, it'll be a Strudel signature Bass.:D
