So this Monday, my wife and I attended a presentation by Dr Andrew Weil. Afterward he signed books. He signed a LOOOOOooot of books. When we got to the front of the line to get our book signed, my wife told him that he is my avatar on TB and asked if we could get a pic with him and me in it. It was kind of funny at the time, but the more I think of it, the more surreal it becomes. I met the guy who a bunch of people I know, but haven't ever seen, picture when they think of me. Okay. That is probably the least coherent sentence I have ever typed. But, out of the people here that use someone else's picture as their avatar, how many have met them?
I've met my avatar many times. Bard, That's funny, I always thought that was you in your avatar and that you just looked like Andrew Weil. BTW, Andrew Weil is noted as a "nonrecommended source of health advice" at www.quackwatch.org. Mainly because of his distaste for the scientific method. brad cook
I must admit that I did too - that picture just suits your "tone of voice", on TB!! It was also comforting to think there was somebody who looked older than me, posting on TB!!
