Has anyone ever heard of Series A Basses?

I was searching my local market place and came across this strange looking kind of cool looking bass. The brand is called Series A. Apparently it's a Canadian brand from the 80's that was built in Korea. Just curious if any bassists out there know anything about this brand, or this model of bass.
