i was thinking about one of these necks to replace the neck currently on my MIA jazz.
i was told that these are worlds better than the moses.
i played a VJ at basscentral and i loved the neck.
    has anyone done this?
it will cost $399 for the neck.
how will it change the sound?
and do you think my bass will sound the same if i were to put barts in it?

I would go for a Status Jazz neck! they look way cooler! The older Modulus Jazz necks were way better than there newer ones. Sting used one.

I don't think the Modulus necks are necessarily superior to the Moses necks. They do feel different but I think the Moses necks are of the same quality as the Modulus necks.

I have a fretted jazz with a Moses neck being built by Steve Barr and Co. and have a fretless Moses J neck stashed for a future project.

I own a Modulus Q5 and a Q6 and they have wonderful necks on them so I feel I can make an unbiased comparison. Of course the feel of a neck is an individual thing so YMMV.
