Has Anyone Tried/Compared the Warwick FNA Jazzman and Warwick Taranis?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by TolerancEJ, Dec 13, 2016.

  1. I've liked the design of the Warwick FNA Jazzman for awhile. I just became aware of the Warwick Taranis, which appears to be a similar instrument. (Are they the basically same instrument, simply named differently?) Has anyone tried both instruments for comparison purposes?

They appear similar indeed. The Taranis model advertises a 35” scale length. Other than that the MM style pickup has ears instead of the square shape, so different aftermarket options are available. I have no hands on experience with a Taranis but it looks pretty nice. I really liked the FNA Jazzman I had many years ago.

Thanks. The 35" doesn't scare me as I have a TRB1004. Though maybe it does a little with Warwicks past neck issues.
