Has anyone tried tuning their bass like a banjo for clawhammer technique?

I've been getting into old time clawhammer style banjo and guitar playing recently and was wondering how it would sound on a bass. Has anyone tried this?

I'm imagining piccolo strings on a 5 banger with the lowest string tuned high to make it a drone string might have a cool sound that wouldn't get too muddy. I've only got one bass at the moment however, so I haven't had the opportunity to try this myself.

INB4 just get a banjo or guitar.

I did, the strings on the banjo were to small for my ultra masculine bass playing fingers, and my guitar is collecting dust in the corner. Anyways, this thread is to get an idea on how a bass might sound tuned like this you contrarian troll. ;)

Ha, I've seen this, but it's not exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm looking for a bass that is tuned and played similar to the video below.
