    Well, tell me about it!

Looks like an interesting little $100-ish pedal.

Looks like it could be a neat pure clean boost with EQ options.

Also looks like it could do an old school-ish low gain dark (or bright even) OD.

    How do you use yours?

I don't own one, but I tried one in a store. Pretty sure it was a v3. I was able to get a nice edge-of-grind sound out of it. I would not describe it as dark at all, even with the bass control up and the treble backed off--to my ears, it had a slight treble boost with a little compression. Almost like playing bass through a silverface fender amp with the bright on. A musical sounding pedal, but not exactly what I was looking for.

thanks! ehh..might not be what I'm looking for either then. Kinda looking to replace my Solidgold FX Beta with something that sounds similar but without so much low end boost.

I know it's the standard answer, but if you haven't tried it yet, the Barbershop ME is worth a look. I found it tricky to dial in, and I don't care for the higher gain settings, but in the lower part of the gain range with just a little sag, it's as good as people say. To my ear, there's very little eq change, maybe a slight high-end roll off which the high-cut switch can roll off further. All three positions of the switch are very usable.

I'd also like to check out the Dredgetone Angler and the Beta (particularly the Custom Shop LM-308 version) at some point. But I don't think I'm going to be looking to replace the BS ME any time soon.

The Barbershop has been on my radar for a while, and to be honest the reason I haven't tried it yet is because of the jack locations. I'd have to redo my whole board to make it fit because they are all in just the wrong place for my current setup. Not knocking it at all, because on a different board those locations could be superb :)

Hmm... Maybe Dredgetone could custom fit top jacks on an Angler?
