  1. I'm lazy , so don't tell me to search. I gather that GAS means when you really lust after new gear, but tell what it exactly means.

:D it's an evil disease!!! I was more then happy with my imported self-defretted Hamer (bought off eBay for under $300 in 99) when I stumbled in via Mike Watt's website

now I'm about done with new basses (3 on the way  )and about to move on to a new rig!

    What are you getting?
  5. I'm picking up a nice mid-cost five string. I have down to a G&L Tribute, Lakland Skyline, Music man SUB or SR5(used) , or KSD 60sJ. If I can get a good price $1200-1600, I may go for a used Modulus, or Alembic Essence, Ken Smith. That's if no household expenses pop up. Realisitically, I need to keep it $800 or less so my first options make the most sense. :spit:

Cool! I'm hoping to give a tribute L-2500 a spin. Laklands are real nice, but my fingers like me better if I stay 34" scale or less. Don't forget to scour eBay (classifieds here and at www.thedudepit.com too). Lots of great basses floating around!
  7. Thanks for the info! I'm gonna have bass overload!
