Have you ever boght a bass with the intention of refinishing it?

    I think it is a great option to making a great playing bass you really like into a more visualy pleasing instrument.Anyone ever do this and if you sent it out who did you use?.

    Pat Wilkins does excellent work as well but I've never used him for a refin.

    Michael was local to me when I was in Santa Rosa, CA so I didn't have to ship anything...just drop it off and pick it back up. His prices were also dirt cheap (~ $250 a refin).

    Besides it was fun to piss him off and order silver sparkle jobs because he'd bitch about having sparkles flying all over this shop for weeks! :D
