I've had a Peavey Grind 5 BXP for about 6 months now, it's a good bass for the price. Only had one problem, the battery wire shorted to the shielding after about 6 weeks and had to go back for service. That kinda sucked but Peavey's customer service was top notch. They called three times to make sure everything was ok and that I was happy. All in all I'd buy another one.

    Thanks,
    Jim

  3. the Lakland, Peavey and Spector would be sweet. if you want a G&L L2500 check online classified adds. you can usually pick up a used one in like new condition for about $700.

I am not a big fan of the Warwick Rockbass stuff and the Fender 5-stings. the B string is not too great. they are not bad basses but there are others I like better. I think a used G&L would be a great option.

i would say go with a esp ltd b-205, but get the actoin fixed the strings are loose as hell, i havent gotten around to ajusting mine

all that aside i say go with the fender deluxe active jazz V. now heres y while i do perefer my esp i have always found great joy in picking up a fender and hearing that great tone(i want that tone)

(even tho i have a fender) one of my freinds has the bass your talking about and while i only played it once i loved it, and i think any one looking for a nice tone would love it to

  5. spector ns2000/5 NECK THRU... forget the q5 spectors... the bolt ons dont sound nearly as good... as far as im concerned this is the best 5 string for the money... check ebay, you can pick them up for around 500

  6. I have had a rockbass corvette classic 5string for about 4 days now...it is that ablsolute best buy for the money...you cant beat the value of the engineering and electronics put into the rockbass. for the price, it is the best in my opinion.
