SX P/J, old headstock.
WHOA. NOS, so it costs $20 more than it did when on the market? Oh dear.
!!!! god i don't have the cash either...
Damn, I wish I had a bass budget right now...
Only 5 in stock. Gogogogogogogogogo!
i have the cash and a birthday coming up in 10 days, theres no end date for this old headstock right?
It's being sold directly from Rondomusic - not on ebay. When they're out, they're out. Could be 10 minutes or 10 months from now.
son of a gun!
Two different headstocks pictured.
they really should switch back to that head stock, at least curve it up a bit. i dont mean just look like fender all the way but man the new ones are ugly.
good eye, i like the more curved one
almost pulled the trigger on impulse... but I don't really need one :/
NOS SX's. The end is near my friends.
I have one.........i only paid $109. and have taken it all apart and had my way with it. Modded pretty much everything.
My bandmates love its tone.
I stripped the neck and refinished with tung oil
Shielded all the cavities.
Installed a Fender string thru bridge
Installed a 1/4 lb in the neck positon and a Hotstack in the bridge position. Added a Tortoise PG.
Oh yeah.....it's fretless now, changed the neck, have the orig neck and can go back whenever I want.
Take it on my Motorcycle with me and don't worry too much about potential damage.
Go for it!!
From Kurt @ Rondo when asked which headstock it is: "The top one is correct". (and he fixed the webpage)
1. "New Old Stock" = WTFSPACETIMECONTINUUMCOLLAPSE
2. Almost sounds like their stock of these basses was one day buried underneath a huge shipment of Ursa 3's in their warehouse, and only after a couple years of selling Ursa 3's did they finally uncover the boxes and go, "Oh, there they are!"
Dude...Thats the bass I wanted before I settled on a vintage white one that is long gone... and what's up with the price gouge?
Someone should tell Chunger.
