I have a Spector 2000B 5 string bass, and a peavey milestone 2. I play through a peavey basic 112. When I play my Spector, I get a sick sound, almost as if i blew my speaker. However when i play my peavey or my acoustic bass through it, all is fine. I took the amp apart, nothing is wrong with it, so ive come to the conclusion that the electronics on my spector must be messed up. Does anyone know what the problem could be and how to fix it. If so, please send me an email at [email protected].
    Thanks

That would be my guess. When the 9V runs out of juice, the preamp on your bass will start farting.

Like Arvid and Chris said, change your battery.

  5. if you leave your guitar cord plugged in it will run your battery down premature. Dont leave it plugged in unless your playing !
