Having problems keeping neck up at an angle.

I've been using DiMarzio ClipLocks for some time now, and lately I've been having issues keeping my basses leveled properly, especially during live shows. It just always tends to slide down, no matter what kind of bass I use. I don't know if it's the fabric of clothing or ClipLocks just aren't for me. I like to play my bass low, but I don't want to have to keep it leveled by myself.

Any help?

Do you mean it's neck diving? Or the strap is sliding on your shoulder? Describe "leveled".

The strap is sliding from my shoulder. By leveled, I mean stays in one angle. Poor choice of words, my bad.

The DiMarzio strap is pretty "slidey" if that makes any sense. If your bass is neck heavy it's just going to compound that.

I've had the problem with almost every bass I've owned.
I was looking at the Fender Neoprene strap.
Or just something to keep it in place.
And you're right, the DiMarzio is very slidey. It even says it on the description on their website.

Any strap with a rough leather backing will help keep in in place a little better if it's out of balance. I tend to like wider straps (3"+)...

A suede strap helps, also look into replacing the tuner machines with ultralight versions.

You could check out a Kepur strap as well. They're made from "Kepurthane" and don't slide much unless you are trying. they also have the most secure hold of any nonlocking strap I've ever used.

I've had a Spector, a Warwick, like 5-6 Fenders, 2-3 Ibanezes, 2 Deans, a Traben and a Schecter.
