I am looking at getting a GK 400RB-III which is rated at 240 watts at 4 ohms. I have a 300 watt, 4 ohm 1x15 cab. I just want to make sure this would work fine and i wouldn't end up blowing something.

As long as your amp doesn't distort, and as long as you don't over-boost the bass control at high volumes, it'll be fine.

If your amp has any kind of clipping limiter (to prevent its power amplifier from clipping/distorting), please use it.

EDIT: If you do hear your amp's speaker complaining for whatever reason, turn down a little.
