Head says min 4ohm I have an 8ohm cab

  1. would anything happen if i plug the two together? the head also has two parralell for inputs two 8ohms

    If you use two 8ohm cabinets or one 4ohm cabinet you will be good.

    4 ohms is less resistance than 8 ohms, so the 8 ohm cab is fine with your head. You could use up to two 8 ohm cabs in parallel with your head, giving you 4 ohms total resistance. But you could only use one 4 ohm cab, and never use a 2 ohm cab.

    This is the third thread today that had an answer readily available in the impedance "sticky" thread at the top of the forum page. Why doesn't anyone use it?
