Heads and cabs

    I'm planiining on getting a half stack. I was thinking about a SVT, Hiwatt, SWR or Eden head. Any suggestions on types of heads heads or other company's.
    And for a cab, i was thinking a Ampeg PR-1832HE , EDEN D-4x10xlt, a Mesa Boogie, or an SWR Goliath.
    I really like the ampeg but what do you think i should get? thanx for your opions.

    There's your answer. You really like the Ampeg. All of those are good names, and the Ampeg has a tone that's uniquely Ampeg. I personally prefer Ampeg, but your amp should be based on what you like.

    but which one has a nice sound like FLea's bass. I really like that low articulate punch.

    flea uses Mesa/Boogie.

    i think you should get what you like. Ampeg makes awesome cabs.

    if you like the sound.. buy an ampeg preamp and a poweramp... i say that a LOT in this forum.. but its my opinion that it'll sound as good or better than an svt4 if you get the top of the line preamp, and a nice clean poweramp.
    I have the svp-pro, and it nails that ampeg sound... i love it. No complaints from me.

    Ditto! Love my SVP-PRO. I'm using a Mackie 1200 powering a Hartke 4.5BXL...

    mackie 1400 and an SWR 810.. as long as nothing breaks, i'll never buy another amp or cab again... well until im super rich.. then comes the aguilar, just because i can

    in my own little spot... don't touch me!
    He uses GK heads with Mesa Boogie 2x15 cab allot but I dig my SVT-3 PRO, I really dig the Mesa Boogie 2x15 I recomend it as a cab for anyone.
