I'm planiining on getting a half stack. I was thinking about a SVT, Hiwatt, SWR or Eden head. Any suggestions on types of heads heads or other company's.
And for a cab, i was thinking a Ampeg PR-1832HE , EDEN D-4x10xlt, a Mesa Boogie, or an SWR Goliath.
I really like the ampeg but what do you think i should get? thanx for your opions.

  2. There's your answer. You really like the Ampeg. All of those are good names, and the Ampeg has a tone that's uniquely Ampeg. I personally prefer Ampeg, but your amp should be based on what you like.

    Well there you go.

but which one has a nice sound like FLea's bass. I really like that low articulate punch.

if you like the sound.. buy an ampeg preamp and a poweramp... i say that a LOT in this forum.. but its my opinion that it'll sound as good or better than an svt4 if you get the top of the line preamp, and a nice clean poweramp.
I have the svp-pro, and it nails that ampeg sound... i love it. No complaints from me.
