Heads Up on Cheap Fenders

  3. Squier Affinity P for $150? I HIGHLY suggest this to someone looking for a project, or for someone starting out. Very good beginner bass, but with new pickups in and/or a BAII bridge on it, the thing sounds SWEET.

    I wouldn't exactly rush to get an Affinity P at this price, which is basically the price at GC.

    If I had to upgrade one thing on the affinity P first, it would be the tuners. Everything else is either lo-tech enough not to be a problem or should last a reasonable amount of time if left well enough alone.
