  1. Check out my latest recording to hear a Carvin LB75 with the H50N pickups. Let me know what you think.

Well, despite the disclaimer in your sig file, I checked out your file.
    Nice... thanks for sharing.
Pretty good tone there, how'd you record it?
    Keep 'em coming...
  4. I have an Aardvark audio card with a breakout box where I can plug my bass and drum machine directly into. I used Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.0 for mixing.

Didn't take you long to get that LB75 thumpin' to please, Count. Very nice!

My LB75, with the differents pickups and woods won't get that Vic Wooten-tone you have on that recording. It can't get that warm.

    Are those flatwounds?
  7. No Rick, I actually haven't changed the strings that came with it. I'm not sure why because I hate the strings that are on it. They feel weird.

To get that sound I set the pickup selector right in the middle, turned the bass up about a quarter turn, and turned the treble down a quarter turn. I generally play close to the bridge to get a little growl to my sound especially when the tune is really moving.

Thanks for all the helpful posts you submitted when I was trying to decide on a Carvin. I love this thing!
