Heartless Bass Sound

    K, so I admittedly was not into the Weeknd. Then this epicness dropped and I can't get it out of my head.



    On the chorus, is that a bass with a whammy pedal or what? Distorted, filtered, compressed and maxed out in the mix, but could be a bass guitar. How would you get that sound?

    It's more likely a synth, but you could approximate the sound with all the pedals you mentioned.

    Definitely a synth, bur you could get close with a oc2, whammy, and a chorus
