what do u think is the heaviest band out there?
come on... John Popper from Blues Traveler has got 60lbs on the Loaf
I go with Atlanta Rhythm Section. They had that bassist with coke-bottle glasses and some serious girth.
When I was in high school I saw BTO open up for Van Halen. The slogan on the back of their tour shirts was "Over a ton and a half of rock n roll on one stage"
i meant music wise not weight
OHHHHHH!!!! Well that's very different then....
Wayne Shorter's current group is right up there.
Well, why didn't you say so?
Dave Holland's Quintet is pretty heavy that way. Also, I've always considered Keith Jarrett's trio to be quite ponderous....
That's some heavy **** man!!

Okay then. Tenacious D.
Surely for sheer weight of numbers then, it would have to be something like Sun Ra's Arkestra or Parliament/Funkadelic's Mothership - or are we counting the weight of gear as well as people?
Tenacious D RULEZ!!
Actually, the Cyrus Chestnut thing with Ray Drummond would have to be fairly massive.
