I love the way that looks. At one time, I didn't care for the Conklin body style now I like it it quite a bit. I spoke with Bill earlier this week and he told me that my custom 6 with RMC midi junk should be ready in a week or less. He was just waiting on the Duncan p/u's. I wanted Bart's but he said he's having a tough time getting them and might not see any for several months. That sucks a little but I'm sure the Duncans will sound good. I had him put in the Phase one's as, if I want to, can put in the Bart's when they come available.

It will be interesting to see where the bidding ends up in a week......(any guesses on what the reserve price is???)

While it is a beauty, John, it almost seems "plain" compared to those in your family because it doesn't have the "melts" nor the "flames."

I would understand why you wouldn't stay in it if the price starts getting up there because I don't see anything in the electronics either that you don't already have covered.

The money could then go towards that golden Ritter.

  9. Hey JT: With that body wood and finish, you could play in trashy Vegas lounge act....no, never mind... (images of tight leather pants and big bleached and pouffed hair on our seven-string playing TB mod....tooooo scary!)

    ;) :D

That Conklin is the best I've seen yet. BTW subjective opinion, I appreciate the melted tops but that grey flame...... looks again.......is lovely. Hope it works out.

That is the ugliest bass I have ever seen and that reserve is unreal.

    a quote from the description:
"Nobody who sees this bass ever forgets it! "

Hell, no they don't forget it! It probably haunts them in their dreams!!

really? cool. it's good to know that at least there's a respectable individual on the other side of that auction.

  16. That's quite a nice bass, I really like the finish/colors. But John, you have to be stopped!

Didn't you have a white 7 string on the way courtesy of your wife?

You shoudn't have mentioned it - now everybody on TB will be bidding, to try and sell it on to you at a profit! ;)
