anyone tried both? remeber heir is passive so cut it some slack in the electronics department!

  2. The Heir is way less expensive, and I think is a better deal overall in terms of bang for the buck.

they are both smoking- stingray, the difference is the price ( you almost get 2 Heirs for what you pay for a 55-02 - ) and the electronics- Great preamp on teh 55-02- the Heir is passive, but with a preamp?-look out!!

so are you going kingston or jazz?

  10. well right now I am leaning towards the jazz...
It'll probably take couple of more days to make up my mind though..

Thing is I've only played Kingston once, a while back.. with extremely dead strings.. but I've had many favorable encounters with Jazz..

    hm.. still thinking...
    :)
