anyone tried both? remeber heir is passive so cut it some slack in the electronics department!
The Heir is way less expensive, and I think is a better deal overall in terms of bang for the buck.
they are both smoking- stingray, the difference is the price ( you almost get 2 Heirs for what you pay for a 55-02 - ) and the electronics- Great preamp on teh 55-02- the Heir is passive, but with a preamp?-look out!!
hmmm. wonder what a fretless with an aggie pre would sound like?
elsewhere on this forum- someone said their favorite LA bass exchange bass was the fretless Kingston 5!
You know what?
I was thinking the exact samething couple of days ago.. Before I met Brad at atomic music..
There he told me something and put a thought in my head
and have been thinking since then.. hm..
what did he tell you
oh he mentioned an alternate bass.. with in the price range that I was looking for.. a used fender deluxe 5.. to be exact.
so are you going kingston or jazz?
well right now I am leaning towards the jazz...
It'll probably take couple of more days to make up my mind though..
Thing is I've only played Kingston once, a while back.. with extremely dead strings.. but I've had many favorable encounters with Jazz..
hm.. still thinking...
