    Greetings,
    for Helix users-
I've been considering going this route to try to simplify my physical setup as well as have more options as far as routing order without having to re- patch things physically.
I have looked into the available Helix effects quite a bit, and the patching looks like it would be excellent as far as incorporating external, specialized effects that there are no models of.
One thing I cannot find is how much processing power is really available- I tried an Axe FX floor unit a couple years ago, but was nowhere near capable of what I needed.
This is for heavily effects based, ambient/ drone music, for example I might run 3 reverbs simultaneously, along with pitch shifting, fuzz and a pair of loopers. Things like that.
Has anyone out there using one of these hit a wall processor- wise?
What have you been able to run before maxing- out available processing power?
    Thanks!

  2. There's a list of amps/cabs/effects and their DSP allocation here:

    Helix DSP Allocations

Should be able to work out if it will run what you want.

  3. Remember the Helix Floor/Rack/LT are Dual-DSP modelers. The Stomp is a single DSP.

Also, there are some great things about the Helix but if you are doing ambient, make sure you like the reverbs. My favourites are the Eventide ones and Vallahalla DSP’s. I don’t love the Helix verbs. That said, lots of people seem to do well with them.

You should get the floor or LT. I have a stomp for utility duties and it wouldn’t get close to what you want.

This is exactly what I've been looking for, for a base idea of what to expect. Thank you!!!
