Hello from Houston

Hello, my name is Kevin Olivier. Been playing professionally here in Houston with a band called Commercial Art www.commercialartband.com for the last 13+years. I also have an Associates Degree in audio engineering. Just been getting into internet forums in general lately and found this one while looking for a good wireless bass system.

My band is a true variety dance band with our main income coming from wedding receptions and corporate events. Material includes everything from old jazz standards, to country, to funk/disco, to modern top 4O stuff. My true love being mostly rock (leaning to the heavier side), I've decided to start my own original recording project this year. Updated to pro tools 8, updated computer, plug-ins etc. I'm starting to fall back in love w/ bass and playing it no matter what style. Got a little stale for a while playing the same old wedding reception repertoire. Anyway, hope to meet some people here for friendship, sharing, and maybe some collaboration eventually. I also wouldn't mind finding some kind of side rock project to just get my rock/roll "rocks" off every once in a while.
