Hi, I am new and I am waiting for my first bass. So, please, be kind to me. I will be asking a lot of questions, and when I say new, I mean NEW...at everything. I have always been interested in the bass, however, never had the courage to actually pick one up. So, after being probed by a few friends, I decided to take the plunge.

So, here I am...I heard General Instruction is very helpful as is a few other forums. If I like what I see here, I will up my membership to supporting member.

Thank you inadvance for the warm welcome...

    Hey look...cool smileys :meh:

Who said I'm givign you a warm welcome n00b!

    just kidding ;)

welcome to the wonderful and addicting world of Talkbass, and furthermore bass in itself. General instruction and Technique forums should answer most of your beginning questions, have you looked into getting a teacher, very valuable to learning.

    Welcome! and enjoy

    :)

    *bows down at JT's feet*

"All hail to the king of basses...All hail to the king of basses..."

    G.A.S....I can't explain....I am in aw....:bag:

  16. Holy carp, JT. To replace all of the strings on your basses, you probably have to sell one of them...

Anyways, welcome to Talkbass Prime Mover. I would recommend that you become acquainted with the search function first or else you will receive this response, many times:

    "Do a search"

Enter keywords such as "COMBO" or "TRUSS ROD" or "SETUP" to get results. And check out the newbie links at the top of most forums too. Good places to start.
