As much as my GAS wants me to get a new axe, I’m probably in need of a new amp more than anything. I’m in a rock band right now and I have is a fender rumble 500. We’re playing shows that will probably only hold around 50-100 people . Is the rumble enough or should I splurge on a new amp?

You should easily be able to play Wembley stadium with your current amp. Sounds like you want a new amp :)

Ha! it is plenty. I've played venues that hold over 800 people with a Rumble 500 combo and no FOH support.

Depends on a lot of things:

    1. How loud is the band? There are rock bands and ROCK bands. There are drummers and DRUMMERS.
    2. Is the amp doing all the lifting, or are you going through the PA.

Either way, you don't need a more powerful amp. If you need more volume, get a second 210 cab. That will give you more than enough.

I don't think you should splurge on a new cab.

Man it changes every time I think ab it. Mostly a sunburst fender precision or a reverend come to mind. Or rickenbacker but we try not to think ab that lol

How about you? U must have some GAS for something right?

I have around 20 basses and about 10 amps systems.

    I still don’t have enough.

Tell me about your GAS again....
