My kids computer has this crazy AdWare that I can't get rid of.

This is the info I received from Norton 2005 after a Virus Scan....

I followed all the directions here:

    1-The Removal tool found nothing
2-Running an Virus Scan in Safe mode Found Nothing
3-The values the site are asking me to delete are not in my registry.

In my System Explorer>Internet Explorer>IE BHOs section of Microsoft AntiSpyware, it's there and every time I try to block it or permanently remove it, it comes back.

Does any one have any help!!!!!

The list on that page looks awfully long, I'd say download and run "HijackThis" and post your log.

If you know what you're doing, HijackThis makes removing registry entries that point to malware quick and painless.
  3. You could always wipe the computer clean. That'll get rid of it... and everything else. :p

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ has free online virus and spyware scans. Try them. IME, Trend almost always finds things after Norton, Adaware, Spybot, etc. scans.

Search the registry for bakwave, and delete all instances of it occuring.

.....if you decide to go with the "wipe it clean" option, and need a XP Pro CD with a legit serial number, let me know. I will send you one, no charge.
