i have a peavey cs800 power amp that i am going to start with. it is a basic PA power amp. 240 watts/channel into 8 ohms, 400 watts/channel into 4 ohms. i would like to purchase the ampeg SVPCL bass preamp to run into the power amp. i would then like to run the power amp into an ampeg BSE410HLF Bass Cabinet. The cabinet is a 4 ohm cabinet that can handle 400 watts. i am new to the world of preamps and seperate power amps and how you get it all to work without something catching fire. my question is, will this set-up work. can i run out of one of the sides of the power amp into the speaker cab and make it work, pushing 400 watts from that channel, and possibly add another identical cabinet to the other channel and push 400 watts to each for a total of 800 watts? i can't afford 2 cabs now, so would like to use only 1 until i can. Please help.
