Help coming up with loops

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Freaky Fender, Jan 11, 2003.

  1. my dad just bought a new RC-20 loop station pedal, it's great, but i've been having trouble coming up with good loops to use.. they're all crap, or stupid rip-off's of riffs in different keys... any reccomendations that will get me back in the one-man-band groove? thanks

  2. anyone? Blisshead? Steve Lawson?

Try not thinking in terms of loops while you are trying to write something. Write it as you normally would then pick it apart to see what would work as a base that you can build on. Hope that helps.

maybe start with more ambient textures or chordal things. that way you can experiment more with playing with it than around it.
