A listing of King serial numbers can be found here:

    http://www.musictrader.com/king.html

but does not seem to provide info on the serial number this particular NH White made King, which is #4364. Can anyone help me date this one? Thanks, Alan

  2. There seems to be agreement from most everyone here that the dates shown on that site for any of the H.N. White made basses are useless and just plain wrong. Ike Harris provided us with some very useful information in this post from a week or so back.

The musictrader site listing refers to wind instruments only. The King and American Standard basses, we presume, went from single digits to around 3100 for AS's and into the 4k's for Kings. Yours is the highest no. I've seen, so I would guess it's around 1965 when they stopped production.
