    I'm getting ready to order a neck from Rondo for my my "J" bass ( I found out fretless just ain't my thing). But I'm not having any luck finding a 1 9/16" nut anywhere. :help:

    Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

    Any competent repair shop "should" be able to make one out of brass stock or a brass blank to your/basses needs...

    Thanks for your suggestions:

    B'Aces high, I could only find 1 1/2" or 1 5/8" at bassparts resource

    b15fliptop, that would work but they have a twenty dollar minimum a bit much on a $40 neck...sigh, I'll probably end up biting the bullet and ordering 3 of them. :rolleyes:

    Buzzbass, those are vintage 1964 equipment and work quite well right where they are now. :p

    Devilman, the key word would be "competent" that would involve a 2 hour drive (each way). Again a bit much for a $40 neck. :rolleyes:

    I really do appreciate all of the suggestions. Thanks again. :)

    @COOP,

    ...UPS/Fed X...

    PS: If it's $, than try to make one yourself from some inexpensive brass stock...

  10. You might want to e-mail Basspartsresource, sometimes they might have things in stock that arent listed on the site. They also update quite often.
    Good luck.

    WOW! thanks again for all your help!

    DonZ , I really appreciate the offer, I simply do not have the tools or expertise to take on that project.

    ebozz you're right on the nose, I ordered one from them about 30 mins. ago.

    I really hope I can return the favor someday gang!

    :) Graph Tech is a good source for those kind of parts. A luthier in my area swears by their TUSQ products.
