    Hey guys,

Recently I've really been working on my ear a lot and I've come to the conclusion that its about 100x easier to figure out intervals if you hear songs rather than intervals. This is what I have so far:

    Intervals up:

    m2: jaws
    M2:
    m3:
    M3:
    P4: Here comes the bride
    A4: Maria (west side story)
P5: Just about every country song ever
    m6:
    M6: NBC
    m7:
    M7:
    P8: Somewhere over the rainbow

Intervals down... well.. i haven't really found any.

So what songs do you use to get the intervals in your ear?

M2: Do Re Mi (from "Sound of Music", Doe, a dear, a female dear.....)

    m3: The Impossible Dream.

m6: A Day in the life of a Fool (know also as Black Orpheus, and Mahan de Carnival... its a old jazz standard)
    m7: Somewhere (West Side Story)
    M7: Old Star Trek Theme

Check Jamie Abersold's site for some of this. He's got it all covered in his free downloadable jazz book.

    thanks for the link!

It makes hearing intervals sooo much easier when you associate them with a song.
