Help from Scottish players

Hello everyone, I don't know if this is the appropriate section.
I'm from Italy and I saw a classified for a bass in Scotland (Edinburgh, Midlothian) I could be interest but I want to avoid being scammed since we are so far away.
Is there any Scottish fellow near Edinburgh who could help me?
