I may have a couple of extra bucks coming in that I can throw around. For the first time in my life however I'm completely satisfied with all my basses. :) But I wanna get something. Help!?!?!?!

I want to drop under $500, and I'd like something out of the ordinary. Currently considering:

This. If I could find it in a different color I think it might be the winner.

I like sparkly basses also and have none. If anyone knows of any cheap sparkly thing please post pics. Post pics of anything out of the ordinary... I want different, and cheap. I don't care how it sounds, I'm probably going to use it twice and sell it anyhow. :)

I hear those Hofners can be really great, if you find the rght one, but I've heard about tons of them having major QC issues, so try before you buy, if you can. I think my Guitar Ceter just got one of those in, so maybe yours did too.

So you're looking for basses only? What about effects?

I've gassed myself out on effects. I hate effects. After going through tons of em I settled with BOSS ME50B, and it just sits there waiting for some love. I have a rough time chewing gum, playing bass, and doing things with my feet all at the same time.

I'm pretty satisfied with my amplification too, and couldn't fit another in my house even if I wasn't.

Thanks for tryin though. I appreciate it. :)

I guess if I were to be totally honest with myself I've still got some gas in my tank, but I can't yet justify pulling the trigger.

If you have a wife or girlfriend, and are flush on basses and amps, get her something. Your selflessness will pay off big in the long run. JMO

Get out of here, trouble maker. You're not invited.

PS: Missed the daisy rock before. That's the kinda stuff I'm talkin about. :) How do I find that bass?

After you said sparkle, I remembered them... I've been gassing for a sparkle bass for a while now. The only downside I see with them is the scale... 25 1/4" (EDIT- It's 34" full scale... looked at it wrong on the website), but I'd still rock it.

It's on the GC website... there's a link in my first post.

Damn! So close yet so far. Couldn't do $400 for a 25". I don't even like regular shortscale all that much.
