    I have an oppurtunity to purchase this bass which is a vintage 50's or 60's (owner doesnt know which) True tone bass for a very low price. Please tell me what you know about it , the pickup , the brand , whatever you know
    its a hollow body by the way. Thank you.

    Yeah i just dont want it to be a peice of **** when i get it, I wanna be able to play it, not just look at it.

    do it. if its crap, your out a whopping $103.... and if its not crap, it could be worth a lot more to someone else.

    that bass looks exactly like a bass i picked up at a flea market except my headstock is different than the other ones pictured....mine just says "Kay" in silver script.

    here are some quick shots of it. i've always wanted to fix it up a little bit just for fun...maybe a new bridge and some new tuners. if anyone knows any replacement parts for it i would be grateful :cool:

    i have no idea how it plays since theres no bridge on it, it's just been lying around my room for a couple of months. the neck appears to be bent pretty good i hope i can fix that and the frets are kind of worn.
     
  17. For that price, go for it. It makes for a nice piece of history, regardless. It's not that expensive and you might get the urge to play it once in a while, even if it doesn't compare to your other basses. You can probably even sell it for more than you paid.
