I already own a 2001 EBMM Sterling 4H in Blue Pearl that I absolutely love but this beauty is available for only two grand and I am drooling big time. Roasted maple neck/fingerboard. Two humbuckers. It’s red. OMG

Nobody "needs" more than one bass. Hell, nobody even "needs" a bass.

    And yet, here we are.

Enjoy it and play it in good health.

  3. First Rule: Don’t come here asking us to talk you down from purchasing a bass. We only ask that you post the picture when you receive it.

It would look so good with a black or mint pickguard.
    Black, definitely black-white-black.

Looks like you missed the deadline for same day shipping. Better get to it early tomorrow so they can get it out Monday.

If you can get a holy grail bass for $2K, my advice is to buy five of them.

The thing that’s so wonderful about the EBMM Sterling is that the ergonomics are perfect for me and it sounds just like what I hear in my head all the time. It sounds like *me*. And I like the cute li’l’ headstock.

I've more often not regretted buying something that excited me than passing on the same. After all, if you get it and don't like it, you can usually resell.

But if you DON'T buy it, there's usually no reversing that decision after it's no longer for sale.

I have relied on my TB friends, many times, to talk me out of buying gear. They have always let me down.

  12. Buy it. Those things have the best necks on them I've ever played; I've owned two of them. If it all works for you then it's a no brainer. I love the color!

One in, one out? Buy this one and sell the other one to help defray. I know nothing much about EBMM, but don't they hold their value well enough?

I love my 2001 EBMM Sterling 4H in Pearl Blue/maple too much to let it go.
I think I prefer owning both as a tandem.
Although I wish this potential new bass was a 4HS and not a 4HH.

I bought the 2001 that I already own about a year ago on a lark for $725—a steal.
Since then, I’ve marveled at how great it is, how beautifully constructed.

Do mouth ears and nose count as holes in the head? It sounds like you better buy that bass, quick!!!

(but maybe you don’t need it I don’t know)

The HH4 Sterling is my favorite EBMM bass, by far.
