This bass body was given to me over 20 years ago and I just found it again in my attic. Does anyone know what brand this could be? 20160308_171429.jpg

Likely late sixties, early seventies japanese. May be Matsumoto sold unders dozens of brand names including Silertone marketed through Sears. That is the bridge used on the Silvertone 1490 and dozens of other imports during that era.

Thank you sir. I am thinking about refinishing it and making it into some sort of wall art or clock

I like that idea, but why not just put a clock works into it, hands and numbers on the finish as is? If you refinish it, it'll likely look like a crappy old bass someone painted and made a clock out of.

As is, it looks pretty cool, and would make a great clock.
