3)1 silver pick up (looks like a harmonica-has holes in it etc!) 4)on the body
5)1 pick up inside the bass body at the end of the fretboard.
    6) head like a fender style but with more diamond like tuners
7)body shape like a rockbass corvette
8)thumb rest thing on the body - wood!
9)neck wood is a very rosewood brown
    10) this is so light! its like a feather
    11) one tone pot
    11) one volume pot
    13) there is white drawings/images of curvey lines on the black pick guard - almost floral

Any idea as to age? Could be a kingston or a Decca from the '60's or any one of a bazillion others.

    Best of Luck,
    Wesley R.

I don't know the actual name, but I every time I see one it's either called a "tulip" bass, or just...y'know..."some Teisco bass for sale". They're worth like $100.

Probably not. The reason I say "probably" is I love this kinda thing, but most people don't. They're pretty poorly constructed Japanese basses- basically student models from the 60's and 70's. Japanese basses from that era have a reputation for interchangeability (factories just sort of slapping brand badges on em willy-nilly) and for...crappiness.

I love em, though. It's up to you- give it a shot and then decide.

i have to but some strings on it - the ones on it i reckon came from the factory when it was made - im not really into gay, fancy, show off basses anymore - just selling my thunderbird ltd white bass to get a spector 4 string - this was only £10 (uk money) so thought it was worth the risk!

i love the weight of it! never found a bass like it before!

    p.s

do you rate spector rebop bass - (zebrano finish)?

I wouldn't really ask me. There's more experienced guys on TB with a more popular opinions. I dislike seemingly the majority of the stuff other bassist's swear by.

One tip, though- put some D'Addario chrome flats on that Teisco. Delicious.
