Help Identifying a Jazz Bass

Hoping my fellow TBers can help with this. I have a jazz bass body that I would like to sell here on TB, but I am unsure of just what I have. I don’t want to misrepresent it, and I don’t know what a fair price would be.

I got it a few years ago and was told it was Fender, Made in Japan, new old stock, Fiesta Red. It came with a very nice, Fender MIM RW Precision neck, which I have recently sold. There was no question that the neck was authentic.

The markings in the neck pocket and the fact that the neck plate has no markings look suspicious to me. (See pics.). Also, I really don’t want to open it up to look for markings on the pups, pots, etc.

Can anyone help me determine what, exactly, this is and what it is worth.

I really don’t like to open ’em up unless I have to. I tend to screw things like that up. You know, broken solder joints, etc, etc.

 

In doing more research, I found an expired listing for what seems to be the same item on Reverb. The photo is attached. You can see the neck pocket markings and neck plate look just like mine. The differences are this item is new and it has bridge and pup covers.

Seller was asking $450 plus $35 shipping. I’m thinking I could list mine for $350 shipped. Does this seem reasonable?
