Help Identifying Jazz Bass (Vintage?)

    I found this on craigslist, and it seems odd to be a true vintage from the 60's
    It has a color-matched headstock, and the serial is supposedly #145063.
    Is this for real?

    Hard to say much from a single poor quality photo. Need 6-12 close-up pics.

    I guess I was wondering about the color-matched headstock more than anything.
    Did they do that back then?
    Obviously I would remove the neck and the control cover to check at the least. Not to mention the P/U's.
    Just wondering if I should disqualify it right off the bat.

    A matching headstock is possible in 1966, which is the year of the serial number you posted.

    Something is odd about the decal in that image. It looks discolored. Got a headstock pic besides that one?

    Yes.
    Impossible to tell much from that tiny little pic, but it looks like a bound neck with dots and paddle tuners which, if real, would put it early '66.
    The pickguard is wrong, it has no tug bar or holes for one. Looks too white too.

    I ran the serial number on the guitar dater website and this is what came up
