Help in choosing an inexpensive combo

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by --Wang--, Feb 2, 2002.

  1. Any input would be appreciated.

I don't plan on gigging with this combo, its merely for around the house practicing and jamming. 30W would probably be enough. I only have a budget of about $200 CDN, and was thinking about finding a used amp in a pawnshop or from a store that sells used equipment.

What could I get with this budget? I was looking at Peavy's Minx 110, and maybe an old Fender BXR if I could find one. Are there any other suggestions for stuff I should keep my eyes open for when I go browsing?

Oh, one more thing, what should I be careful of when looking at second hand stuff?
