Help! Is this a good amp?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by pezhead547, Apr 18, 2003.

  1. I need some advice from anyone willing to help. Just found this amp on Ebay. Does anyone know if this is a good amp?

I need a fairly powerful amp that will last awhile and make some noise. One that is good for playing small shows. (is a 12" enough?) The guy has like 45 of them for sale (all Buy it Now's).

    Here are the Specs:
It is a Johnson Stage 100B.
    90 Watts Peak
    60 Watts RMS
    88 Watts Consumption
    12"Woofer
    2" Tweeter
    4-Band EQ with Parametric Mids
    Tweeter On/Off Switch
    Two Channels with Independent Levels
    1/4" Line Out

    Thanks for any help.

I never used one of these amps, but I would say if you want something that will last awhile, go for a more reliable brand. I'd go for a Crate in your case. They're cheaper than most other brands, but they're quality stuff and will hold up.
