I recently wired a pair of diodes in reverse in place of a tone cap on a guitar(didnt want to change my bass) and it got me thinking. I was wondering if i could make an effects pedal that is just three tone pots with diodes wired in them after each other so you could turn the first one up for a little distiortion the second and first both for more and all 3 for extreme. I was wondering what I would need other then copper wire, diodes(which i have),3 pots, and 2 outputs(stereo?) and if someone could make me a diagram for wiring? Thanks in advance.

What did it sound like replacing the tone cap with 2 diodes on guitar?

It reminds me of a friends old peavey 2x10 tube amp through my amp. Through headphones its kinda like fuzz its hard to really describe.
